Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone PLC has a rich history dating back to 1852 when Sidney Davy Miller established his law practice on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, which was soon to become and remain one of the largest industrial centers of the United States. Currently, the firm employs over 220 lawyers and operates 19 offices worldwide, including three offices in Poland. Remarkably, the address in Detroit remains the same – Jefferson Avenue.
Miller Canfield has been active in Poland since 1992. It is no coincidence that the beginnings of the law firm's activity are associated with Gdańsk, the cradle of Solidarity, as the first Polish project of our law firm was advising on the launch of Solidarność Chase DT Bank in this city – a pioneering Polish commercial bank with U.S. capital and Solidarity Trade Union participation. Since then, Miller Canfield has continuously served foreign investors and Polish companies, participating in diverse projects across various sectors of the economy.
