Monika Tomczak-Górlikowska is a licensed attorney (adwokat), of counsel with the firm’s Gdynia office. In addition to the law studies that she completed at the University of Gdańsk in 1997, she also studied European Union law at the University of Lyon, France, and at the Law Department of the College of Europe in Brugge, Belgium, where she obtained her Master of European Law degree (LLM). She specializes in competition law, EU law, banking law, pharmaceutical legislation, intellectual property law, as well as in personal data protection. Between 2002-2003 Monika Tomczak-Górlikowska worked in the Legal Service of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union in Brussels, drafting the Treaty of Accession of Poland and other candidate countries to the European Union and finalizing the EU legislation to be published in Polish. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
