Magdalena Olkiewicz-Borkowska is a licensed attorney (adwokat) in the firm’s Gdynia office. Magdalena conducted her studies at the University of Gdańsk under special supervision of Professor Władysław Rozwadowski. During her studies, she participated in the Seminar entitled “American English for Students of Law” at the YALE University, USA. She completed fall semester of LL.M. in International Intellectual Property Law under supervision of prof. G.B. Dinwoodie at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Technical University in Chicago, USA. In addition, she completed postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Warsaw. She has obtained Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification which confirms her expertise within the implementation and application of privacy rules in the organization. She is a member of International Association of Privacy Professionals. Magdalena is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (INP PAN) in Warsaw where she focuses her research on data privacy and fundamental rights’ issues in the EU context. Her professional practice covers the area of personal data protection, including international context, broadly understood law of new technologies, ePrivacy and unfair competition. She is fluent in English.
